Stellaris FISH Probes, Human ACTB with Quasar 670 Dye consists of a set of dye-labeled oligos mixed and pooled into a final delivered amount of 5 nmol, which yields approximately 200-400 hybridizations under standard conditions. Designed to detect ACTB transcripts in specimens using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
Design Criteria: Product was designed against actin, beta ACTB a.k.a. BRWS1; PS1TP5BP1 (NCBI gene ID:60) and nucleotides 337-1811 of NM_001101.3 . This is an inclusive probe set designed to also detect the following variants: NM_001101.3, XM_006715764.1, AK309997. Due to sequence similarities, potential cross-hybridization to RNAs from the following genes may occur: ACTA1, ACTA2, ACTB, ACTBL2, ACTC1, ACTG1, ACTG2, ACTL6A, ACTL6B, ACTL7A, ACTL7B, ACTL8, ACTL9, ACTL10, ACTR5, ACTR8, ACTRT2, POTEA, POTEB, LOC102724631, POTEB2, POTEC, POTED, LOC100288966, POTEE, POTEF, POTEG, POTEH, POTEI, POTEJ, POTEM, LOC100508046. Note that due to potential cross-hybridization to RNA from other genes, this probe set is best used as a positive control for establishing the Stellaris RNA FISH method and not for single molecule quantification. The probe set has not been tested for potential cross-hybridization to RNA(s) of paralogous and orthologous gene(s) in the same or other species. |
