| Bolt Transfer Buffer (20X) is used to transfer proteins from Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels to membranes for western blotting. It maintains the neutral pH environment established during electrophoresis. The neutral pH protects against modification of amino acid side chains and is compatible with N-terminal protein sequencing using Edman degradation. Bolt Antioxidant may be used with Bolt Transfer Buffer to enhance transfer of reduced proteins to membranes. |
