The nucleocapsid protein (N) was one of the structural proteins of SARS-CoV (N, S, sE, M), which epitopes were defined by parallel comparison of SARS-CoV infected and non-infected human sera with Epitoscreen TM peptide array. The N protein of SARS-CoV shares little homology with nucleocapsid proteins of other members of the coronavirus. N proteins of other coronavirus have been reported to be involved in forming the viral core and also in the packaging and transcription of the viral RNA.

SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid Antibody (MA5-35953) in WBWestern Blot analysis of SARS Coronavirus Nucleocapsid was performed by loading 1 µg of SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid, His Tag Recombinant Protein (Product # RP-87669). The primary antibody used was SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-35953) at a dilution of 1:2,000. A Goat anti-Human IgG + HRP antibody was used to detect the primary antibody at a dilution of 1:5,000.
