| Rabbit anti Human proto-oncogene c-Rel antibodyrecognizes proto-oncogene c-Rel, also known as oncogene REL and avian reticuloendotheliosis viral oncogene homolog; REL.Encoded by the REL gene, proto-oncogene c-Rel is a transcription factor that is a member of the Rel/NFKB family, which also includesRELA,RELB,NFKB1andNFKB2(MIM 164012). These proteins are related through a highly conserved N-terminal region termed the 'Rel domain,' which is responsible for DNA binding, dimerization, nuclear localization, and binding to theNFKB inhibitor(Belguise and Sonenshein, 2007) (PubMed 18037997).Rabbit anti Human proto-oncogene c-Rel antibody detects a band of 69 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
