| Rabbit anti Human MCM6 antibodyrecognizes human minichromosome maintenance 6 (MCM6), also known as DNA replication licensing factor or p105MCM. MCM6 is a 821 amino acid nuclear component of the MCM complex containing a singleMCMdomain.MCM6 is involved in the initiation and control of eukaryotic DNA replication. MCM6 forms a hexameric protein complex with MCM4 and 7, which has DNA helicase activity and may act as a DNA unwinding enzyme (Kanteret al.2008). The phosphorylation of this complex by CDC2 kinase reduces the DNA helicase activity and chromatin binding of the MCM complex (Ishimiet al.2001). MCM6 has been noted to have elevated expression in Hodgkin's lymphoma (Karimiet al.2008) and be a predictor of survival in patients with mantle cell lymphoma (Schraderet al.2005).Rabbit anti Human MCM6 antibody recognizes human MCM6 as a single band of ~105 kDa in multiple human cell line lysates by western blotting under reducing conditions. It also cross reacts with rodent cell lines tested. |
