| Goat anti Human peroxiredoxin 1 antibodyrecognizes PRDX1 a 22 kDa protein and a member of the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes. Members of the family are divided into the 1-Cys and 2-Cys groups based on the number of conserved residues used in the redox reaction. Peroxiredoxins reduce hydrogen peroxides and alkyl hydroperoxides and thus exert an anti-oxidant effect.Goat anti Human peroxiredoxin 1 antibody detects peroxiredoxin 1 as a single band of 22 kDa in a wide range of human cell line lysates tested. Cross reactivity with rodent cell lines is also observed. |
