| Mouse anti Human STK39 antibody, clone OTI2E10recognizes the STE20/SPS1-related proline-alanine-rich protein kinase, also known as STE20/SPS1 homolog, STE20/SPS1-related proline-alanine-rich protein kinase, Ste20-like protein kinase, proline-alanine-rich STE20-related kinase, serine threonine kinase 39 (STE20/SPS1 homolog, yeast), serine/threonine-protein kinase 39, small intestine SPAK-like kinase and ste-20-related kinase.Encoded by the STK39 gene, STE20/SPS1-related proline-alanine-rich protein kinase is a serine/threonine kinase that is thought to function in the cellular stress response pathway. The kinase is activated in response to hypotonic stress, leading to phosphorylation of several cation-chloride-coupled cotransporters. The catalytically active kinase specifically activates the p38 MAP kinase pathway, and its interaction with p38 decreases upon cellular stress, suggesting that this kinase may serve as an intermediate in the response to cellular stress (provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008).Mouse anti Human STK39 antibody, clone OTI2E10 detects a band of 65 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
