It is expressed in splenocytes, activated PBL, CD8+ tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, granulocytes, and monocytes. LIGHT has the ability toactivate NF-κB, to co-stimulate the activation of lymphocytes and to induce apoptosis in certain human tumor cells.
