| The InstantOne™ ELISA is specifically engineered for accurate measurement of total human and mouse c-Jun in cell lysates. Detection of rat c-Jun is also expected. The InstantOne™ ELISA kit allows for fast analysis of samples in approximately one hour. Fos and Jun contain the 'leucine-zipper' motif that allows for dimerization and an adjacent basic domain required for biological activity. The functionally active form of Fos is in a heterodimer with a member of the Jun family. While Jun family members can form functional homodimers, studies indicate that Fos family members do not self-associate and therefore do not bind DNA on their own. NIH-3T3 cells were either untreated (-) or treated with anisomycin (500 ng/mL for 30 min) (+). Cell lysates were prepared as described in the InstantOne ELISA User Manual and were analyzed by immunoblotting (left) and c-Jun (Total) InstantOne™ ELISA (right).
