| The Human Interleukin 6 (Hu IL-6) ELISA quantitates Hu IL-6 in human serum, cell culture supernatants or other body fluids. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant Hu IL-6.人白介素6（Hu IL-6）ELISA定量了人血清，细胞培养上清液或其他体液中的Hu IL-6。 该检测试剂盒将只识别天然和重组Hu IL-6。Principle of the method 方法原理The Human IL-6 solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target bound between a matched antibody pair. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples or controls are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody. The sandwich is formed by the binding of the second (detector) antibody to the target on a different epitope from the capture antibody. An antibody conjugated with enzyme binds the formed sandwich. After incubation and washing steps to rid the microplate of unbound substances, a substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce measurable signal. IL-6 appears to be directly involved in the responses that occur after infection and cellular injury, and it may prove to be important as IL-1 and TNF-a in regulating the acute phase response. IL-6 is reported to be produced by fibroblasts, activated T cells, activated monocytes or macrophages and endothelial cells. IL-6 acts upon a variety of cells including myeloid progenitor cells, T cells, B cells, and hepatocytes. In addition, IL-6 appears to interact with IL-2 in the proliferation of T lymphocytes. IL-6 potentiates the proliferative effect of IL-3 on multipotential hematopoietic progenitors. IL-6 plays a critical role in B-cell differentiation to plasma cells and is a potent growth factor for plasmacytoma and myeloma. IL-6 is a very useful culture supplement for the generation of a high number of antibody-producing hybridomas. Primarily produced at sites of acute and chronic inflammation, IL-6 is secreted into the serum and induces a transcriptional inflammatory response through interleukin 6 receptor, alpha.
