| Rabbit anti Human ACTN3 antibodyrecognizes ACTN3 also known as alpha-actinin-3, F-actin cross-linking protein, alpha-actinin skeletal muscle isoform 3.ACTN3 gene encodes a member of the alpha-actin binding protein gene family. The encoded protein is primarily expressed in skeletal muscle and functions as a structural component of sarcomeric Z line. This protein is involved in crosslinking actin containing thin filaments. An allelic polymorphism in ACTN3 results in both coding and non-coding variants. The reference genome contains the non-coding allele. The non-functional allele of ACTN3 is associated with elite athlete status (provided by RefSeq, Apr 2012).Rabbit anti Human ACTN3 antibody detects a band of 103 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
