| Rabbit anti Human CD120b antibodyrecognizes CD120b, also known as TNFR2, p75 TNF receptor, p80 TNF-alpha receptor, TNFRSF1B, tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1B and tumor necrosis factor receptor type II.CD120b is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. CD120b and TNF-receptor 1 form a hetero-complex that mediates the recruitment of two anti-apoptotic proteins, c-IAP1 and c-IAP2, which possess E3 ubiquitin ligase activity. The function of IAPs in TNF-receptor signaling is unknown, however, c-IAP1 is thought to potentiate TNF-induced apoptosis by the ubiquitination and degradation of TNF-receptor-associated factor 2, which mediates anti-apoptotic signals. Gene knockout in mice also suggests a role for CD120b in protecting neurons from apoptosis by stimulating antioxidative pathways (provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008).Rabbit anti Human CD120b antibody detects a band of 48 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
