Background/Target InformationGST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26kDa protein, present in eukaryotes and in prokaryotes, where they catalyze a variety of reactions. Glutathione Stransferase is used to create the GST gene fusion system. This GST-fusion protein can then be purified from cells via its high affinity for glutathione. Fusion Proteins offer an important biological assay for direct protein-to-protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors.For Research Use Only. GST Tag Antibody (MA4-004-A647) in IFImmunofluorescent analysis of HeLa cells transfected with a construct containing a GST Epitope Tag. Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS for 15 minutes at room temperature and blocked with 3% Blocker BSA (Product # 37525) for 15 minutes at room temperature. Cells were stained with AlexaFluor 647 conjugated GST-tag monoclonal antibody (Product # MA4-004-A647) at a dilution of 1:25 for 1 hour at room temperature. Nuclei (blue) were stained with Hoechst 33342 dye (Product # 62249). Images were taken on a Thermo Scientific ToxInsight at 20X magnification.
