| Mouse anti Human INI-1 antibody, clone 3E10recognizes human SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily B member 1, also known as INI-1, BRG1-associated factor 47, BAF47, SMARCB1, Integrase interactor 1 protein or SNF5 homolog. INI-1 is a 385 amino acid ~46 kDa component of the BAF complex involved in chromatin remodelling. INI-1 also acts as a tumor supressor.Mutations in the SMARCB1 gene can lead to hereditary cancer syndromes including Rhabdoid tumor predisposition syndrome 1 (RTPS1) with presentation of renal or nervous system tumors or Schwannomatosis 1 (SWNTS1) with development of non-vestibular Schwannomas. Mutation in the SMARCB1 gene can also lead to Mental retardation, autosomal dominant 15 (MRD15) characterized by multiple developmental anomalies, mental retardation and hearing loss (Tsurusakiet al.2012). |
