| Rabbit anti Human Platelet Factor-4 antibodyrecognizes platelet factor-4 (PF-4), otherwise known as CXCL4, a member of the intercrine alpha (chemokine CXC) family, released from the alpha granules of activated platelets, during platelet aggregation.PF-4 binds with high affinity to heparin, counteracting its’ anticoagulant effect, thereby promoting blood coagulation, and implicating PF-4 in wound repair. PF-4 acts as a chemotactic factor for neutrophils, monocytes and fibroblasts, and binds wih CXCR3B, a splice variant of the chemokine receptor CXCR3. |
