Mutations in this gene can also cause congenital hypothyroidism non-goitrous type 5, a non-autoimmune condition. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Nkx2.5 Antibody (PA5-85215) in WBWestern blot analysis of Nkx2.5 in various whole cell extracts using Nkx2.5 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-85215) using 30 µg of sample at a dilution of 1:1000. Sample was then incubated with HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody. Prior to incubation with primary antibody, the sample was separated on 12% SDS-PAGE.
