| TO-PRO 3 Ready Flow Reagent is a bright and easy-to-use nucleic acid stain for distinguishing dead cells from live cells in flow cytometry assays. This dye has excitation/emission maxima of 642/661 nm, similar to Alexa Fluor 647 or allophycocyanin (APC).TO-PRO 3 Ready Flow Reagent is a ready-to-use, direct-to-sample dead-cell stain that emits red fluorescence when bound to DNA. Add 2 drops form the dropper bottle directly into 1 x 106cells, incubate, and analyze.TO-PRO 3 Ready Flow Reagent is membrane impermeant and therefore excluded from viable cells. It binds selectively to double-stranded DNA. This dye has excitation/emission maxima of 642/661 nm. |

Viability analysis with TO-PRO 3 Ready Flow ReagentJurkat cells, a human T cell leukemia cell line, were heat-killed and a mixture of dead and live cells created at a 50:50 ratio. Cells were stained by adding 2 drops of TO-PRO™3 Ready Flow Reagent in 1 mL of 1 x 106cells. The cells were then incubated for 15 minutes at 25°C. Data was acquired on an Attune NxT Flow Cytometer using a 633 nm laser. Emission was collected using a 670/14 nm filter. |
